Night Festival Adjacent: A color extravaganza awaits as guests enter the Light Festival. Bamboo like columns illuminated in bursting colors by projected light installations which paint horizontal swaths and bands across the trunks, that reveal a painting of stripes an array of dazzling colors complimentary colors which morph into relatives. The high number of lumens committed ultimately boast great definition yet a beautiful sensuality and subtly between shades of green on some, favoring yellows on others, the yellows delicately fade to orange, oh so briefly only to be over taken by thinner stripes of peaches, then pinks segmenting the bamboo as it climbs, across those wearing green, quindecone reds and magentas fill the same role, though thinner bands run horizontally. The branches and leaves radiate and pulse as they are bathed in purple light that fades towards pink thin outlines of cobalt are visible. As if all that weren't spectacular enough, the entire scene is set with the gorgeous glow of a turquoise sky that seems to be moving towards everything, and if embracing all who can see it. It fades t to teal as one towards an otherworldly teal as it eventually climbs away from the festival lights that dominate for hundreds of feet above the ground, towards the sky. Through that climb towards the heavens, the leaves are so tiny, but their role in this dance of light and illusion is to play the part of falling confetti that never reaches the earth, as it's not falling, they are just so tiny and the trick of the lights so far up makes it look like that to onlookers. The big picture of this little slice is a display without equal of greens, yellows, reds, peaches, full spectrum fill this sparkling scene bursting with luminescence. The painting is accented by metallic inks and bright alcohol based markers. Everything is lit up and glowing in this beautiful bright night scene. What was dark has been conquered by the artists who built an array of light installations and interactive art works which illuminate from within the shadows in this landscape. The drawing depicts only a small scene within a much larger night festival. To see the rest, one must continue on and enter.
